As a leading supplier of marine cylinders, Dalian Nurmi complies with the requirements of all major ship classification societies. This ensures that our materials are sourced from approved suppliers and are tested carefully. All of our main manufacturing processes are also verified by the classes, and operators are certified. We always have our cylinders pressure-tested and the welds inspected by certified inspectors. Furthermore, repeated manufacturing surveys ensure that the quality of our products is consistently high and stable.

Quality Processes, Quality Products
Cylinder Design
We use Vertex 30 CAD software and Nurmi’s own calculation tools to design our cylinders. Our designers are highly experienced in cylinder design, local materials, and manufacturing methods. By combining local knowledge with our experience, we’re able to give the best benefits to our customers.
Our company uses only verified high quality materials and components. These come from the solid local supplier network we’ve established, and all deliveries are verified with thorough in-house testing. Also, standard components are either sourced from recognized international suppliers or specified by the customer as desired.
Cylinder Manufacturing
Dalian Nurmi has extensive in-house production machinery that ensures capacity and high quality products. Our machinery and equipment are selected and specifically built for cylinder production. We machine components in high-precision CNC lathes and milling centers.
Our workshop has purpose-built semiautomatic lines for welding. We use verified welding procedures (WPS) that can be reliably repeated, as parameters for each weld are stored in the machine’s memory. To make sure that the cylinder welds are faultless, we do extensive NDT testing. In addition, all of our welders are certified by DNV.
We assemble cylinders in a separate clean room area, in assembly lines that are designed for accurate cylinder assembly and pressure testing.
Production Control
Our production planning and control is based on a comprehensive ERP system. The system grants us full control and traceability of materials, components and manufacturing process. As a result, we’re able to provide high quality products with accurate deliveries.
